What does 'vetted' actually mean on RoofingTechPro?

Four documented checks: state license verification against the contractor licensing board, certificate of liability insurance + workers' comp on file, 3+ recent client references called and confirmed, and a BBB complaint-history review. Roofers with lapsed insurance, fake license numbers, or unresolved complaints don't make the panel — period.

How the match works

  1. Submit the intake (right). Takes 90 seconds.
  2. Within 1 business day, we match to a vetted roofer in your geography that fits your project type (insurance claim vs straight-quote vs material specialty vs solar pairing).
  3. The roofer reaches out to schedule an on-site inspection. We do not pre-share your contact with multiple roofers.
  4. You get a written quote. If you want a second opinion, ask us — we can match again.

What we don’t do

Your intake is not added to a marketing list. It is not sold to a contractor lead-aggregator. It is not shared with manufacturers or insurance carriers. After we make the match (or determine we can’t), the data is retained for 90 days for service-quality follow-up, then deleted.

Vetting includes liability insurance verification, state license verification, 3+ recent client references, and BBB complaint history.
Four checks: (1) state contractor license number verified against the state board, (2) certificate of liability insurance ($1M+) and workers' comp on file, (3) 3+ recent client references called and confirmed, (4) BBB complaint history pulled and reviewed. Roofers with unresolved customer complaints, lapsed insurance, or non-existent license numbers don't make the panel.
Free for homeowners. Roofers pay a per-match referral fee — only when we match you to them, not as a recurring listing. The fee structure is fixed (not auction-based), so the roofer you match with is the right roofer for your job, not the one who paid the most.
Name, email, state, roof age, damage/reason, material interest, timeline, solar interest, and a 1-2 sentence description of your situation. Phone is optional. We don't ask for income, household size, or any data unrelated to the actual roofing decision.
Usually one business day. If we don't have a vetted roofer in your specific market yet (rural areas, recently storm-affected zip codes), we'll tell you within 24 hours and refund any fee charged. We do not send your intake to a roofer we haven't vetted, period.
Submit the form anyway and note "second opinion on existing quote" in the situation field. We can match to a roofer willing to do a free second-opinion review of an existing scope/quote — useful if you suspect overscope, hidden costs, or material substitution.
